We are seeking a
Subject Matter Expert (SME) Business Analyst
with deep experience in
Private Equity
to support deal lifecycle, portfolio monitoring, and digital transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will bridge business, investment, and technology teams, driving data-driven decisions across deal sourcing, due diligence, investment execution, and portfolio management
.
Key Responsibilities
Private Equity Domain Expertise Act as SME across the
end-to-end Private Equity lifecycle
:
Deal sourcing & pipeline tracking Due diligence (financial, operational, commercial) Investment structuring & execution Portfolio company performance monitoring Exit strategies (IPO, M&A, secondary sales)
Work closely with investment teams to analyze:
Financial models (LBO, IRR, NPV) Valuations and KPIs Fund performance and cash flows
Business Analysis & Delivery
Elicit, analyze, and document
business requirements (BRDs, FRDs, user stories) Translate complex investment workflows into
scalable technology solutions Lead
gap analysis, impact analysis, and process re-engineering Drive
data mapping and integration requirements
across systems Required Skills & Qualifications
12 years of experience as a Business Analyst 5+ years in
Private Equity / Asset Management domain Strong understanding of:
Fund structures (LP/GP models) Capital lifecycle (commitment → deployment → exit) Financial modeling concepts (IRR, MOIC, cash flows)
Proven experience with:
Agile / Scrum methodologies Data analysis (SQL, Excel advanced) BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)
Key SME Expectations
Deep domain credibility with investment teams Ability to challenge assumptions and validate business logic Translate financial concepts into technical requirements Lead strategic initiatives, not just requirement gathering •
