Brown & Brown is seeking an Employee Benefits Account Manager to join our growing team in Virginia Beach, VA! The Account Manager supports the Account Executive by assisting in the day-to-day management of client accounts. This role involves coordinating client communications, executing account strategies, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services. The Account Manager acts as a liaison between clients and internal teams to meet client needs and drive satisfaction. How You Will Contribute: Assist in managing client accounts, ensuring timely and effective communication. Address client inquiries, issues, and requests with a focus on providing excellent customer service. Prepare and deliver client presentations, reports, and updates under the guidance of the Account Executive. Build and maintain positive relationships with clients through regular communication and proactive problem-solving. Support Account Executive in developing account strategies and identifying opportunities for account growth. Coordinate and track project timelines, deliverables, and milestones. Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Account Executive, benefit administrator, sales) to ensure projects are executed according to client specifications and deadlines. Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to clients and Account Executive. Prepare meeting agendas, take meeting minutes, and follow up on action items. Assist in the preparation of proposals, contracts, and invoices. Manage relationships with benefits vendors and service providers. Licenses & Certifications: Life & Health Insurance license (2-15) with 30 days of hire Valid driver's license Skills & Experience to be Successful: Minimum of 3 years in Account Management or client service experience with large and/or self-funded accounts (required) Minimum of high school diploma or general education degree (GED) Proficient with MS Office Suite and Excel Organizational, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
