Role Overview: *Sales serves* as a key point of contact for customers, supporting sales activities and ensuring a smooth customer experience from inquiry through order fulfillment. This role blends relationship management, problem-solving, and operational coordination, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to work cross‑functionally with production, engineering, purchasing, and logistics teams.

Key Responsibilities:

* Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email, providing timely and accurate information.
* Prepare and issue customer quotations, ensuring all required technical and commercial details are collected and correct.
* Coordinate internally with engineering, manufacturing, and quality to gather information needed for accurate quotes or order setup.
* Enter customer orders into the ERP system, ensuring part numbers, revisions, pricing, quantities, and ship dates are correct.
* Review purchase orders for discrepancies (e.g., conflicting prints vs. PO details) and work with customers and internal teams to resolve them.
* Track open quotes and orders, following up with customers to confirm demand, provide updates, and clarify requirements.
* Communicate engineering exceptions, missing information, or special processing requirements clearly to customers and document as needed.
* Support new setup processes by providing complete customer data and collaborating with engineering when required.
* Maintain accurate customer records, pricing updates, and documentation according to company standards.
* Coordinate with shipping/logistics to ensure on‑time delivery and communicate any delays or changes to customers.
* Develop strong relationships with customers to enhance satisfaction and promote repeat business.
* Collaborate with sales, quoting, and engineering staff to improve quoting accuracy and turnaround time.

Required Skills:

* Proficiency with ERP/CRM systems for entering orders, tracking status, managing pricing, and maintaining customer data.
* Strong understanding of order‑to‑cash processes, including quoting, order entry, material availability checks, and shipment coordination.
* Ability to read and interpret basic customer documents such as purchase orders, part numbers, revisions, and (when applicable) engineering prints.
* Experience preparing customer quotations, including confirming specifications and coordinating with engineering or production teams.
* Strong sales and quoting experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Solid product knowledge (or ability to learn quickly) related to materials, components, manufacturing capabilities, and lead times.
