
Senior Sales Manager

The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for driving strategic growth and accelerating business performance within Best Buy and other assigned retail accounts. This role leads the execution of ASUS sales initiatives by developing data‑driven business strategies, managing account relationships, and ensuring operational excellence across sales, inventory, and promotional planning.
The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills, retail account expertise, and technical aptitude to translate market insights into actionable go‑to‑market strategies. This individual must understand retail channel dynamics, especially Best Buy operations, and work cross‑functionally to deliver measurable results.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic business plans to grow ASUS presence within Best Buy and assigned accounts
Build compelling, data‑driven business cases that clearly articulate ASUS’ brand value proposition
Collaborate with Product Management to align promotional planning and go‑to‑market initiatives with revenue targets
Partner with Retail Marketing to execute product launches, retail events, and training initiatives
Manage weekly sales performance and inventory health through detailed analysis and forecasting
Monitor sell‑through trends, SKU performance, competitive pricing, and promotional activities
Analyze third‑party market data to provide strategic recommendations to Best Buy Category Management
Maintain strong, consistent communication cadence with Best Buy stakeholders (weekly/bi‑weekly calls)
Identify and resolve cross‑functional bottlenecks to ensure on‑time execution of commitments
Collaborate with industry partners to create mutually beneficial growth opportunities
Ensure best‑in‑class merchandising execution both online and in‑store
Perform additional duties as assigned
Maintain good attendance and punctuality
Knowledge and Skills
Strong understanding of retail channel operations and technology ecosystem
Ability to translate technical product features into business‑driven value propositions
Advanced analytical, problem‑solving, and forecasting capabilities
Experience leveraging sales data, inventory trends, and competitive intelligence
Ability to present business insights to senior leadership and large audiences
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Ability to work confidently in a fast‑paced, results‑oriented corporate environment
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) required
5–7 years of retail account management experience
5–7 years of experience working with or at Best Buy
Proven track record of driving sales growth in a retail environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in ecommerce and retail technology sales
Strong familiarity with consumer electronics market trends
Experience presenting to executive‑level retail stakeholders
Working Conditions
Requires sitting and operating a computer, telephone, and office equipment for extended periods
Ability to travel domestically and internationally — approximately 30% travel required
$150,000 - $165,000 annually is the estimated pay range for this role working in Fremont, California office or Remote (Minnesota). The final amount will be determined based on qualifications & experience of the candidate relative to the role.
