For more information, visit .* Deliver sales and profitability results for the segment: + Including a mix of local Japanese accounts and global accounts. + Overseas business accounts: these are customers / traders selling into the Japanese market and producing outside Japan, typically in Southeast Asia (e.g. Thailand, Vietnam), China, or further (e.g. Brazil). + Including both developing existing customers, as well as acquiring new customers.* Work closely with other commercial functions to lead new product development, which are typically customized food solutions.* Clear communication and coordination with internal stakeholders both in Japan and abroad, to ensure the successful execution of projects and smooth product supply.* Develop the growth strategy for the target customers and provide direction to the wider commercial team.* Provide feedback and improvement plans.* Support the execution of strategic initiatives.* Lead and develop communication and projects on our aspirations, focusing on creating sustainable food system networks and developing a nutritious & sustainable portfolio. Key Skills * Customer focus: both with key account management and through customer acquisition (including cold calls)* Communication clarity (including in English)* Drives Engagement: ability to lead cross functional teams, and to manage execution of complex projects across functions and geographies* Learn on the fly: able to learn quickly, independently, and have an open mindset to grow* Value selling: ability to uncover and translate customer needs and pain points into solutions Strengths * Sales experience of value-added products with solution proposals* Import / export business experience* Understand Profit and Loss financial structure* Ability to work independently with limited supervision* Strong sense of initiative, problem solving skills* Strategic, Open, and Flexible to be able to think outside box* Deep understanding and relationships in the food industry Qualifications Required * Bachelor Degree: preferably in Science, alternatively in Business (4 years of institution required)* Minimum 10 years of sales / business development experience of high added value products in the food industry* Experience in working collaboratively with multiple functions in a matrix organization* Experience in managing customized new product development projects* International working experience (including projects with China)* Proven experience in: + Growing sales with existing customers and; + Developing business relationships and sales with new customers (acquisition)* Be based in our commercial office in Tokyo* Fluent in Japanese language* Confident in spoken and written English* Comfortable traveling inside and outside of Japan when necessaryGriffith Foods is the caring, creative product development partner helping food companies meet the evolving needs of consumers while sustaining the planet.
