We are seeking a skilled and experienced Director of Preconstruction to join our team. As the Director of Preconstruction, you will be responsible for leading and managing the preconstruction/estimating team to ensure successful project delivery. Responsibilities
Lead and manage the preconstruction team to ensure successful project delivery
Oversee the estimating, precon, ground up, and commercial projects
Develop and maintain relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and contract documentsWork with the project team to develop a comprehensive project schedule and budget
Conduct value engineering to ensure the project is delivered within budget
Assist in the negotiation of contracts with subcontractors and vendors
Coordinate with the construction team to ensure a smooth transition from preconstruction to the construction phase
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
Continuously improve the preconstruction process to increase efficiency and reduce costs
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field
8+ years of experience in preconstruction management
Excellent leadership and management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
Knowledge of construction software such as Procore, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, Trimble and/or EST-MEP
Ability to read and interpret project plans, specifications, and contract documents
Experience in value engineering and cost analysis
