We are seeking a
Funder, Residential Real Estate , to join our growing team! The Funder is responsible for coordinating, reviewing, and disbursing loan funds for residential real estate closings in a high-volume environment. This role ensures funding conditions are satisfied, lender requirements are met, and funds are accurately and timely released in accordance with closing instructions, firm policies, and regulatory requirements. Accuracy, organization, and the ability to manage time-sensitive transactions are critical to success.
What You’ll Do:
Review wire instructions and invoices
Verify settlement statements, endorsements, and wire instructions.
Coordinate receipt and release of loan proceeds via wire or check in compliance with firm and banker requirements
Track and confirm wires in accordance with firm security protocols
Communicate effectively with escrow accounts, closers, and internal teams regarding funding status and conditions
Resolve funding issues, discrepancies, and last‑minute changes under tight deadlines
Escalate critical issues or delays to management in a timely and professional manner
Manage a high volume of same‑day and next‑day fundings while maintaining accuracy
Assist with depositing checks and payoff verifications in a timely manner.
Prioritize workload based on lender funding cut‑off times and closing schedules.
Meet daily productivity and quality standards established by the firm
Adhere to state‑specific residential real estate, trust accounting, and wiring procedures
Follow firm policies related to wire fraud prevention, confidentiality, and data security
Maintain accurate and complete funding records within the firm’s case management and accounting systems
What You’ll Need:
High school diploma or equivalent
1+ years of experience in residential real estate funding, closing, post‑closing, or mortgage operations
Experience working in a high-volume, deadline driven environment
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Ability to handle sensitive financial and personal information with discretion.
Compliance mindset with the ability to maintain accuracy under time constraints.
Knowledge of state‑specific (NC, SC, and GA) real estate closing and funding practices is a plus but not required.
Compensation: Competitive package, including bonuses, commensurate with experience
