Title Human Resources Director
Location Nashville, TN
Responsibilities
Oversee and continuously optimize the organization’s HR management system (Paycom), supporting the full employee lifecycle from onboarding through offboarding.
Lead end-to-end recruitment in partnership with hiring managers, including hiring strategy, interviews, offers, and onboarding.
Administer payroll and employee benefits programs, including open enrollment, vendor relationships, compliance, and employee education.
Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on employee relations, performance management, investigations, and documentation, handling sensitive matters with discretion and fairness.
Maintain and update employee policies, handbooks, and HR resources to ensure clarity, accessibility, and compliance with federal and state employment laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA).
Support professional development initiatives and internal committees, partnering with senior leadership and Board-level stakeholders as needed.
Foster an approachable, inclusive HR presence that promotes trust, transparency, and engagement across the organization.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required – Master’s preferred
SHRM or HRCI certification required
5+ years of experience required with at least 3 of those in a leadership role
Experience within the education or non‑profit field required
Paycom HRIS experience highly preferred
