Reports to:
Executive Vice President, Business Development Company Overview: An established developer and owner-operator of renewable energy and energy storage assets with a strong track record of executing complex projects across multiple markets. We are seeking a highly motivated professional with substantial transactional experience in renewable energy or infrastructure markets. The ideal candidate is goal-oriented, thrives in a deadline-driven environment, and is comfortable leading sophisticated commercial processes. Job Summary
This role is primarily responsible for leading the monetization of development-stage renewable energy and energy storage projects prior to construction. Secondarily, the role supports the origination and execution of new commercial opportunities. Key Responsibilities
Project Divestitures Prepare marketing and transaction materials for asset sales and project-level financing involving energy storage and solar assets Lead outreach to potential counterpartys using industry relationships while developing new commercial connections Manage virtual data rooms to ensure accurate, complete, and timely delivery of project information Coordinate and respond to counterparty due diligence requests, working closely with internal technical, legal, and financial teams Lead commercial and contractual negotiations to achieve favorable and timely transaction outcomes Other Commercial Transactions (e.g., Power Purchase Agreements, Build-Transfer Agreements, Tolling Agreements) Oversee preparation and submission of high-quality commercial proposals Manage cross-functional internal teams (engineering, finance, development) and external advisors to ensure competitive and accurate submissions Collaborate with financial analysis resources to develop pricing recommendations, assumptions, and supporting rationale Lead negotiations of commercial agreements through execution Reporting
Prepare regular transaction and pipeline updates in collaboration with senior leadership Support internal reporting requirements on a weekly and monthly basis Professional Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related field Advanced degree preferred Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in transactions, project finance, or commercial roles within renewable energy, power, or infrastructure sectors Experience with project-level financial structures, including tax-advantaged investment structures and energy storage projects, is preferred but not required Professional Attributes
Demonstrated success leading complex commercial transactions Strong drive and results-oriented mindset Ability to balance strategic perspective with detailed execution Independent self-starter capable of managing multiple priorities and motivating diverse stakeholders Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively across functions and with senior leadership Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills Additional Information
