Impact our processes and customer interaction

Responsibilities

Communicate with customers

Manage daily FSQA operations within a prepared foods manufacturing facility

Oversee food safety programs, quality systems, and sanitation compliance

Ensure adherence to HACCP, HARPC, GMP, SOP, and SSOP requirements

Monitor and verify compliance with USDA and FDA regulations

Oversee finished product quality, labeling accuracy, and customer specifications

Lead internal, regulatory, and customer audits from preparation through completion

Manage customer interactions including plant tours, audits, and product demonstrations

Lead, train, and develop FSQA supervisors and technicians

Manage departmental budgets, turnover, and safety initiatives

Act as the primary plant liaison to USDA representatives

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field preferred but not required

7+ years of experience in food quality assurance, including some leadership experience

Experience in poultry, meat, or protein-based manufacturing

Proven background in USDA-regulated food manufacturing

Experience communicating with customers

Preferred

HACCP certification; PCQI and SQF Practitioner credentials a plus

Demonstrated success leading external audits and third-party inspections (e.g., SQF, BRC)
