Senior Creative – AI & Tech Innovation (Social First)
Monks Associates Inc, Los Angeles, CA, United States
Senior Creative – AI & Tech Innovation (Social First) • Los Angeles, United States
About the Role We are looking for a senior creative who can write ideas and also make them. This is a hybrid role for someone who can concept social-first campaigns, write scripts and copy, and create content through both traditional production and AI platforms.
This person should be deeply AI-native — someone with strong prompting skills and a real instinct for using AI to develop ideas, iterate quickly, rework copy, and create compelling visuals and videos with speed and quality. They should understand the AI landscape, stay current with emerging tools and culture, and have a portfolio that reflects strong AI-driven creative work. Just as importantly, they should also be a creator themselves — comfortable shooting their own content, directing scrappy social-first shoots with talent, and helping bring ideas to life in a hands‑on way.
They will work closely with a Creative Director, Art Director, editors, motion graphics artists, and a Creative Technologist as part of a small, fast-moving team focused on AI product launches. This is not a management role, but it does require independence, initiative, and the ability to thrive under tight timelines.
Responsibilities
Develop Ideas and Execute Them: Create social-first campaign ideas and help bring them to life through writing, filming, and content creation.
Write Across Formats: Write scripts, social copy, campaign lines, presentation language, and narrative framing that turn product stories into engaging creative.
Create Content Traditionally and with AI: Be hands-on in making content, including filming, directing, and capturing social assets in a traditional way, while also using AI platforms to generate content, mockups, visuals, videos, and creative explorations.
Use AI Tools as Part of the Creative Process: Actively use AI tools to concept, write, iterate, prototype, and create social-first content quickly. Bring strong prompting skills and platform fluency to generate compelling outputs and accelerate the development process.
Create Social-First Content at Speed: Use AI tooling to quickly create, test, and refine content designed for social platforms, while maintaining strong taste, clarity, and creative quality.
Collaborate Across Disciplines: Work closely with a Creative Director, Art Director, editors, motion graphics artists, and a Creative Technologist to develop ideas and shape them through execution.
Pitch and Present Ideas: Clearly communicate concepts and the thinking behind them to internal teams and clients.
Translate Product into Culture: Turn product features, launches, and technical capabilities into ideas that feel relevant, human, and made for social platforms.
Prototype Early: Use fast content creation, test shoots, AI-generated outputs, and rough creative builds to make ideas tangible early in development.
Contribute in a Fast-Paced Environment: Thrive in a team built around speed, flexibility, and quick creative turnarounds, while maintaining strong thinking and attention to craft.
About You
Strong Writing and Concepting Skills: You can develop clear, compelling creative ideas and write them well across formats.
Hands-On Content Creation Experience: You have experience creating content yourself, including filming, directing, or producing social-first assets.
Fluency in Traditional and AI-Based Creation: You know how to make content through traditional production methods and are also highly comfortable using AI platforms to generate images, video, and creative outputs as part of the process.
Strong AI Tool Fluency: You are highly proficient in prompting and know how to use AI tools to create compelling visuals, videos, mockups, and content explorations. You understand how to push beyond generic outputs and use these tools with speed, taste, and intention.
Passion for AI and Technology: You are not just curious about AI — you are deeply engaged in the space. You follow the evolution of AI tools and culture closely, understand the current landscape, and bring a genuine passion for technology and its creative potential.
Social-First Instincts: You understand how content should feel on social and know how to create ideas that are platform-aware and culturally relevant.
Collaborative Working Style: You work well across a small multidisciplinary team and know how to build ideas in partnership with different creative disciplines.
Independence and Follow-Through: You can take a brief, find creative angles quickly, and move work forward without needing constant direction.
Comfort with Speed and Deadlines: You do well in fast-moving environments with tight timelines, and you know how to keep the work strong while moving quickly.
Client-Facing Communication Skills: You can speak clearly about ideas, explain your thinking, and contribute confidently in presentations.
