
Account Manager - Southwest

As an Account Manager, you represent the focal point of a respected metrology brand with highly differentiated products. In this role you will leverage your established business acumen and strategic sales expertise to consult with major accounts and drive long‑term growth across a diverse portfolio of FARO Creaform solutions. You will be focused on the long‑term account management of top‑tier customers and strategically drive increased sales over short‑term opportunities by cooperating with internal and external partners. Your covered business portfolio will contain all FARO Creaform solutions including hardware systems, software platforms, and automated solutions. Our Account Manager works out of a home office and will ideally be based around the Phoenix area. The position has the potential to earn a total compensation package (salary + variable) between $130,000 - $160,000.
Responsibilities
Demonstrate Creaform technology to interested and/or potential customers.
Participate in trade shows, technical events, open house, sales meetings, and other sales events.
Ensure steady and organized follow‑up on sales opportunities through emails, phone calls, etc., to ensure the expected level of sales and a compact sales cycle using the CRM system.
Clearly identify and communicate all customer needs and specifications in order for the ISS to prepare the quote.
Act as point of contact and provide technical support and regular follow‑ups to potential customers during the evaluation period.
Report progress of all ongoing sales activities on a weekly basis during team opportunity review, provide sales forecast, and participate in forecast review meetings.
Develop a large network of contacts and clients within the designated territory in teamwork with the Strategic Account Manager and the Sales Manager.
Professionally manage existing customers over the entire product life cycle including identification of further business opportunities.
Protect the profit margins of Creaform by adding value rather than discounting and by organizing efficient travel.
Qualifications
Degree in mechanical engineering or a relevant technical field.
1-5 years of experience in sales in a manufacturing/technological environment.
Strong interest in high technology and in learning about technological products.
Experience in a technical field, sales, and/or customer support.
Valid US driver’s license.
Ability to lift 90 lbs or more.
