Director of Sales – Switchgear & Integrated Solutions Remote (U.S.) | Travel: 50–75%

$180K Base + 20% Bonus | ~$400K OTE

fast-growing, PE-backed electrical power systems manufacturer

focused on scaling its presence in North America across medium and low voltage switchgear.

Having just expanded their manufacturing footprint from

40k sqft to 400k sqft

across two locations, this switchgear OEM is on the path to

triple their revenue by 2027 .

The business is at a critical inflection point in their growth, transitioning from a utility-heavy revenue base ( ~$40M ) to a

data-center driven growth strategy

this year, supported by a strong existing backlog ( ~$60M ).

This is a

high-impact, front-line commercial role

with significant visibility, reporting directly to the VP of Sales and working closely with executive leadership

What You’ll Be Responsible For Sales Strategy & Execution

Own and execute national/regional sales strategy for MV/LV switchgear

Drive revenue growth, forecasting, and pipeline development

Identify new verticals, customers, and strategic accounts

Business Development & Account Growth

Build and expand relationships with

data centers, OEMs, EPCs, utilities, and industrial customers

Scale key accounts (e.g., growing $10–15M customers into $50M+)

Strengthen channel partnerships and distribution networks

Help transition the business toward a

data center-heavy pipeline

Manage and convert a

$60M+ backlog

into realized revenue

Navigate long sales cycles with urgency

Cross-Functional Leadership

Partner with engineering, operations, and product teams

Deliver voice-of-customer insights to influence product and strategy

Support pricing, margin optimization, and go-to-market execution

Qualifications

8–10+ years of sales experience in

switchgear, electrical distribution, or power systems

Strong track record of

hitting/exceeding revenue targets

Proven ability to

scale accounts and build pipeline from scratch

Experience working across

direct + channel sales models

Strong commercial acumen, executive presence, and technical fluency

Highly Preferred:

Background in

Tier 2 OEM environments or agile manufacturing businesses

Experience in

high-growth or PE-backed companies

Ability to thrive in a

fast-paced, low-bureaucracy environment

Compensation & Structure

Bonus: 20% (company performance-based)

OTE: ~$300K–$400K+
