Description We’re looking for an enthusiastic individual who wants to build a career in forensic accounting and valuation services. Based in our Canterbury or Chatham office, this hybrid role offers three days in the office and two days working from home. You will join our growing six‑person forensics and valuations team, currently based across Kent and London and continuing to expand.
The Forensics and Valuations Assistant position is ideal for someone with a strong audit or accounting background who is ready to apply those skills in a more investigative environment where every assignment is different. You will work on a varied portfolio of projects, play a key role in supporting the development of our forensic offering, and work closely with managers and partners. Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
About the role
Assisting with departmental administrative tasks
Working on share and business valuations
Assisting with fraud and other financial investigations
Reviewing and assessing financial evidence in criminal matters
Supporting the development and growth of the forensic team
Reporting to departmental managers and engaging regularly with partners
Travelling between offices and occasionally attending meetings with legal professionals
What we're looking for
AAT qualified (or equivalent experience)
Strong understanding of financial accounts or audit principles
Excellent communication skills, including clear and concise report writing
High attention to detail with strong accuracy
Effective time and task management
Strong Excel skills and overall IT competence
Inquisitive, proactive, and hardworking
Self‑driven, motivated, and professional
Able to handle confidential information with discretion
