Alliances Director

WPP Media, New York, NY, United States

Role Summary and Impact As the Alliances Director, you will play a pivotal role in managing and operationalizing our most strategic technology partnerships, including our longstanding 20+ year relationship with Google. In this highly collaborative role, you'll act as the essential "connective tissue" between major technology partners (like Google, Adobe, Salesforce, and Microsoft), WPP Media’s agencies, and Choreograph’s internal consulting and sales functions. You will be at the heart of our growth engine, turning strategic goals into action by building relationships, driving alignment, and identifying joint opportunities that create incredible value for our clients.

This is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the rapidly evolving landscape of AI, data, and marketing technology. You’ll be empowered to shape our go‑to‑market strategy, manage high‑impact partner programs, and enable our teams to deliver cutting‑edge solutions. If you thrive on building connections, influencing cross‑functional teams, and operating at the intersection of technology and business strategy, this role offers a powerful platform to make an extraordinary impact.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the day‑to‑day strategic relationship with key technology partners, acting as the primary point of contact to ensure seamless coordination and alignment.

Drive co‑selling and go‑to‑market initiatives by collaborating with Choreograph’s Data & Tech Consulting, Data Strategy, Analytics, and WPP Media client teams.

Perform strategic account mapping, analyzing WPP and partner client portfolios to identify and unlock new, high‑potential joint opportunities.

Own the communication and documentation of partnership impact, developing compelling narratives, data‑driven reports, and case studies that showcase the value delivered to clients.

Lead collaborative marketing efforts alongside partner marketing teams, orchestrating impactful campaigns, industry events, and thought leadership initiatives to amplify our market presence.

Identify, evaluate, and surface new opportunities for innovation and growth within the AI landscape, proactively scouting for new joint solution areas and partnership models.

Empower and enable regional teams across WPP and Choreograph, providing the training, resources, and strategic guidance needed to deepen their understanding and utilization of our partnerships.

Monitor, analyze, and report on key partnership performance indicators (KPIs), using data‑driven insights to recommend and implement continuous improvements.

Skills and Experience

5‑7+ years of experience in partnership development, channel relationship management, or alliance management, ideally within AdTech, MarTech, or Cloud technology sectors.

Proven experience working with or for major enterprise technology platforms such as Google (GMP/GCP), Adobe, Salesforce, or Microsoft.

A deep understanding of the digital landscape, with a strong emphasis on the evolving AI landscape and its application to data and data enablement.

Experience in partnership operations, including managing funding programs, partner marketing initiatives, and ensuring partnership compliance.

Exceptional ability to build and nurture relationships, acting as the "connective tissue" that fosters trust and collaboration between complex organizations.

Demonstrated success in identifying joint opportunities through strategic account mapping and building strong connections with partner client teams and account executives.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling value propositions for diverse audiences.

A proactive, detail‑oriented self‑starter who thrives on working independently and managing complex, multi‑stakeholder relationships in a fast‑paced environment.
