
Executive Director, Retirement

Responsibilities
Grow the firm’s retirement and insurance asset base across Retirement Plans, Annuities, COLI, and General Account assets
Partner with the Head of Insurance and Retirement Group to lead retirement strategy, including sales execution, product innovation and client segmentation
Serve as lead relationship manager for a targeted list of prospects and clients, including Recordkeepers, Mid-Market Consultants, Aggregators, Fiduciary Service Providers, and Insurance Carriers
Develop and execute client-level sales and servicing strategies aligned with IRG priorities, annual sales targets and asset retention goals
Clearly articulate the value of JHI products and services, including practice management and value add content, as well as capital markets and economic insights
Drive durable, profitable growth across the IRG client base through proactive business development and relationship expansion
Partner with assigned Account Managers and coach, mentor and develop IRG team members
Contribute to IRG annual planning, including sales goals, budget development and strategic objectives
Perform additional responsibilities as required
Required Qualifications
Proven Insurance and Retirement industry knowledge within asset management distribution
Strong relationships with Recordkeepers and Retirement Aggregators
10+ years of sales, client relationship and distribution experience in financial services
Ability to build and maintain differentiated internal and external relationships across all organizational levels
Demonstrated ability to help design, launch and scale new retirement and insurance strategies
Exceptionally strong writing and oral communication skills
Ability to make sound decisions amid complexity, competing priorities and ambiguity
Commitment to the highest ethical standards
Nice‑to‑Have Skills
Graduate, post‑graduate or professional qualification
Series 7 and 63 licenses required
Series 3 preferred
CIMA, CFA or like expertise preferred

Compensation The base salary range for this position is $145,000‑$160,000 with additional variable compensation opportunities, including monthly commissions, quarterly and annual bonus. This position will be open through May 15, 2026.
Annual Bonus Opportunity:
Position may be eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus award from the profit pool. The profit pool is funded based on company profits. Individual bonuses are determined based on company, department, team and individual performance.
