Summary
Delta Star Inc. is seeking a driven, relationship‑focused Regional Sales Director to grow revenue, expand customer relationships, and position our custom‑engineered transformer solutions for success in the marketplace.
What You’ll Do As a Regional Sales Director, you’ll lead business development efforts across your assigned region, engaging with utilities, engineering firms, industrial clients, and other key customers. You’ll identify opportunities, position Delta Star’s solutions, mentor sales representatives, and work cross‑functionally to ensure customer needs are understood and met. You’ll also provide market insights, competitive analysis, and strategic recommendations that help guide business growth.
A Day in the Life Your day may include visiting customer sites, preparing account strategies, evaluating technical specifications, coordinating with engineering, or supporting escalated customer concerns. You’ll bring customers to our manufacturing facilities, maintain CRM data, and work closely with Sales Leadership to ensure alignment. Whether you’re presenting solutions, analyzing opportunities, or strengthening long‑term relationships, you’ll play a key role in expanding Delta Star’s market presence.
Specific Duties
Conduct regular customer visits to build meaningful, long‑term relationships.
Develop and deliver account‑level strategy plans and reports.
Lead and participate in factory visits, showcasing DSI’s capabilities.
Maintain ongoing communication with the Director of Sales on territory activity.
Assist in escalated customer situations to ensure resolution and satisfaction.
Maintain and develop CRM data to support sales forecasting and relationship management.
Mentor and support manufacturer sales representatives as applicable.
Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, contracts, and other internal groups to align on customer needs.
Promote the Delta Star brand and support company objectives externally.
Provide data‑based recommendations to support decision‑making and strategy development.

Position Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; engineering or technical discipline preferred.
Minimum 5 years of commercial sales experience; utility sales strongly preferred.
Experience with Medium Voltage Power Transformers, Mobile Substations, Mobile Repair Services, Field Services, Transformer Parts, or Monitoring Equipment preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong presentation and facilitation capabilities.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multiple customer and internal stakeholder groups.
Desire to think outside traditional boundaries, drive change, and support continuous improvement.
Strong relationship‑building and strategic account management skills.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Territory sales growth and new business acquisition
Strength and expansion of customer relationships
Quality and accuracy of CRM data and account strategy plans
Effectiveness of collaboration with technical and operational teams
Customer satisfaction and resolution of escalations
Manufacturer rep performance and mentorship impact
Travel Requirements
45%–50% travel expected within the assigned region.
Additional travel may be required for industry conferences, marketing events, or customer plant visits.
