is a Polish health & fitness mobile app used by hundreds of thousands of users to track calories, plan meals, and manage their diet more effectively. The product has already built a strong position in the Polish market and is now entering its next stage of growth.
We have a working product, active performance marketing, and a high volume of new users every month. One of the most important areas to improve right now is activation and monetization of new users inside the app, with onboarding, paywalls, offers, and conversion experiments as the main priorities.
We are looking for someone to take full ownership of this area. This role works directly with the founder, with a short decision‑making path and real impact on results.
1. About the role This role owns the activation and monetization funnel, from the moment a user enters the app to the moment they subscribe.
You will be responsible for designing, launching, and optimizing onboarding flows, activation moments, paywalls, offers, monetization logic, and key conversion experiments inside the product. The job is to identify where conversion is being lost, build clear hypotheses, launch tests, measure outcomes, and keep improving the funnel.
This is a hands‑on role. We are looking for someone who has personally built, launched, and analyzed onboarding, paywall, or monetization experiments, not someone who only coordinated a team doing it.
2. Responsibilities
owning the onboarding funnel from the first screen to the paywall and purchase,
designing, implementing, and iterating onboarding flows,
improving activation by reducing friction between first app open, first value, and subscription intent,
designing, building, and testing paywalls,
creating and testing offers, pricing angles, retry flows, and monetization moments,
targeting onboarding flows, paywalls, and offers to specific user segments,
adapting onboarding and monetization logic based on behavioral and declared user data,
analyzing user behavior across the funnel and identifying where conversion is being lost,
turning friction points and data insights into clear hypotheses and experiments,
running A/B tests and no code experiments across onboarding, paywalls, and monetization messaging,
working with tools such as Adapty to launch and iterate variants,
validating launches and making sure analytics events are implemented correctly,
working daily with data from GA4, Firebase, AppsFlyer, Adapty, or similar tools,
making decisions on what to scale, what to iterate, and what to cut.
3. What you will be measured on
improvement in conversion rate from app entry to subscription purchase,
improvement in onboarding, paywall, and offer performance,
increase in user activation and a shorter path to first value,
improvement in monetization efficiency of new traffic,
testing velocity and quality of insights coming from experiments.
4. Must-have
experience optimizing conversion in a mobile app, ideally subscription-based,
hands‑on experience working on onboarding flows, paywalls, monetization flows, or product experiments,
hands‑on experience setting up and running A/B tests or similar experiments,
strong understanding of activation, conversion, retention, and user behavior,
ability to analyze data and turn it into practical decisions,
ability to build hypotheses and translate them into real implementations,
familiarity with tools such as GA4, Firebase, AppsFlyer, or similar,
high ownership, independence, and strong execution.
experience with Adapty, RevenueCat, or similar tools,
experience working on mobile subscription apps,
experience testing pricing, offers, trials, and monetization triggers,
experience in health, fitness, lifestyle, or consumer apps.
