VP for a hybrid brand‑tech role Edelman is seeking a

VP for a hybrid brand‑tech role

to lead culturally grounded, insight‑driven work that earns attention and drives business impact for a leading electronics brand.

This VP will be integral in supporting one of Edelman’s largest and longest‑running clients with out‑of‑the‑box thinking that taps into the ever‑evolving media landscape. This person should be ambitious and excited about creating effective launch strategies, executing media events, and effectively cultivating a high‑performance team.

This VP is both a leader and a doer, able to delegate and triage complex workflows while actively contributing to daily deliverables themselves.

Travel is a requirement of this role.

Trips of 2+ weeks to Asia or Europe will be required, usually approximately once per quarter but cadence can vary.

Due to an upcoming event, we will only consider candidates who are available to travel July 15-30, 2026.

What You’ll Do

Develop integrated product launch strategies in collaboration with our Strategy and Data & Intelligence partners

Guide work from insight to execution to reporting, ensuring quality, consistency and brand alignment

Model and develop an engaged and performance‑led culture among a team that spans three global markets, in partnership with other global leads

Manage multiple workstreams in a fast‑moving environment with evolving priorities

Drive a variety of work that maps to multiple product launch cycles per year, including but not limited to: developing earned PR tactics for traditional media, influencer/creator, analysts, and more; developing original IP to evolve thought leadership; planning large‑scale, experiential media events; executing media partnerships; writing product messaging; writing executive talking points and editorials; overseeing reporting & measurement of PR performance

Work with a global mindset, embracing collaboration that spans time zones and creating PR strategies that must activate in multiple countries

Help operationalize AI use across the team

What You Bring Basic Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (public relations, communications, English, journalism, advertising, business) or equivalent work experience

7+ years’ experience in communications or public relations

Experience working on large B2C clients

Advanced writing skills and ability to translate ideas into compelling communications plans

Enthusiasm for technology, AI and shaping global brands

Able to work a hybrid schedule in the New York City office

Able to travel at least two weeks internationally every quarter

Leadership & Collaboration

Confident client partner with experience presenting to senior stakeholders

Ability to keep multiple deliverables and workstreams on track, managing all stakeholders and contributors

Strong people leader, invested in mentorship and coaching

Operational Rigor

Keen eye for detail, organization and quality assurance

Experience writing SOWs and/or overseeing account budgets, staffing, and operations

Compensation and Benefits $95,000-$155,000 a year. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue‑based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region‑specific benefits.
