About the Role We’re seeking a
Content Creator with a strong meteorology focus
to join a fast-paced media team in Atlanta. This role is centered on
weather storytelling and written content creation —ideal for someone with a background in meteorology, journalism, or environmental science who thrives in a newsroom-style environment.
This is
not an on-air role . Instead, you’ll focus on producing clear, engaging, and accurate written content that brings weather stories to life for a broad audience.
What You’ll Do
Write and publish
weather-related news stories, forecasts, and breaking updates
Translate complex meteorological data into
clear, engaging, consumer-friendly content
Monitor weather patterns, storms, and climate events to produce
timely, relevant coverage
Collaborate with meteorologists, producers, and digital teams to ensure
accuracy and consistency
Contribute to
digital platforms (web, mobile, social)
with compelling written content
Adapt tone and style based on urgency—from breaking news to educational features
What We’re Looking For
Background in
meteorology, atmospheric science, journalism, or related field
Experience writing in a
newsroom, media, or digital publishing environment
Strong ability to
simplify technical weather data into digestible content
Proven skills in
news writing, storytelling, and content creation
Familiarity with
weather systems, forecasting tools, or climate topics
Nice to Have
Experience writing
breaking news or live event coverage
Understanding of
SEO and digital content best practices
Experience working alongside
broadcast or digital weather teams

The hourly pay range for this position (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location) is $25.00 to $45.00/hr.
