Senior Manager, Real Estate
This hybrid position may be filled in New Orleans, LA; The Woodlands, TX; Jackson, MS; or Little Rock, AR.
The Sr. Manager, Real Estate provides strategic leadership and expert oversight of real estate strategy and transaction management. The role collaborates with the Workplace Strategy team, internal operations groups, and senior leaders across the company to develop and execute a 3-, 5- and 10-year Real Estate Strategy, aligning with business priorities and growth objectives.
Responsibilities
Portfolio Management: Provide end-to-end transaction management for Entergy’s real estate portfolio, including ~240 office and service center sites, 30+ power generation sites, 5 nuclear sites, and 12 critical sites.
Strategic Planning: Partner with business units and senior leaders to develop business cases and execute real estate strategies that maximize value and align with enterprise priorities.
Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a geographically dispersed real estate team, including managers and senior staff analysts, and oversee 15+ regional brokers.
Partnership: Engage with Executives, Operating Company Presidents, and SVP/VP level leaders on strategic planning, portfolio decisions, and transaction execution.
Real Estate Subject Matter Expert: Apply deep expertise in real estate management, transactions, and planning; demonstrate strong quantitative skills, relationship building, and strategic advising.
Fiscal Management: Manage the annual $25–$30M non‑capital rent and operating budget, ensure vendor management, conduct lease operating expense audits, and support financial and regulatory reporting.
Program Management: Develop and oversee value‑enhancing programs such as Mineral Management, Sustainable Forestry, Land Management, and Telecom/IT use to unlock revenue or savings.
Due Diligence: Lead due diligence activities with Legal, Environmental, Risk Management, Facilities, Accounting, Regulatory, Tax, and Finance teams.
Culture: Model ethical standards, champion process rigor, controls, policies, and governance.
Safety & Stakeholders: Promote safety behaviors, assess team and vendor processes, foster community involvement, and support vendor diversity.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree in real estate, business, or related discipline. MBA or Master’s degree desired.
10+ years of recent relevant experience in commercial real estate.
7+ years of corporate real estate and supervisory experience desired.
Exceptional collaboration, relationship management, accountability, and negotiation skills.
Strong communication, facilitation, presentation, and creative problem‑solving capabilities.
Experience with continuous improvement and digital transformation initiatives.
Strong strategic and analytical thinking with a service delivery mindset.
Deep understanding of real estate best practices, processes, compliance requirements.
Extensive experience in complex commercial real estate strategy, development, and execution.
CoreNet Global professional program (QPCR/MCR or SIOR) designation desired.
