Senior Estimator - Hyperscale

ComNet Communications is looking for a Senior Estimator with strong hyperscale and data center experience
to support our rapidly growing portfolio of large‑scale, mission‑critical projects.
We’re a national technology infrastructure integrator with more than 40 years in business, supporting enterprise and hyperscale clients across the U.S. Our work includes structured cabling, fiber, ISP/OSP, data centers, in‑building wireless, security, and AV systems. As demand continues to grow in the hyperscale space, we’re looking to add an estimator who understands the pace, scale, and precision required in these environments.
This role sits within our estimating group and works closely with sales, operations, and executive leadership. You’ll be responsible for developing accurate, competitive estimates for complex low‑voltage and data center projects, often in repeat‑build or programmatic environments. The position is best suited for someone who has supported large data center campuses, multi‑phase builds, or repeat‑deployment hyperscale programs, and who is comfortable estimating work where accuracy, consistency, and execution alignment are critical.
What you're responsible for You’ll review drawings, specifications, and customer standards to build detailed labor and material estimates for hyperscale and large‑scale data center projects. This includes developing scopes of work, performing take‑offs, working with manufacturers and distributors on pricing, and preparing complete bid packages that meet client, safety, and internal requirements.
You’ll work closely with the Chief Estimator, sales team, and operations to align pricing with execution plans, schedules, and field capabilities. Site walks, pre‑bid meetings, and scope reviews may be required depending on the project.
Once work is awarded, you’ll support clean handoffs to operations and project management, assist with change order pricing, and help ensure estimates reflect real‑world conditions in the field. You’ll also provide guidance and bid review support to junior estimators and contribute to improving estimating standards and best practices as our hyperscale work continues to expand.
What we’re looking for We’re looking for someone with deep experience estimating
data center or hyperscale infrastructure projects , ideally within a low‑voltage or network integration environment. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, but equivalent field experience in a senior estimating or project management role is acceptable.
You should bring:
12–15+ years of experience as an Estimator or Project Manager
Strong knowledge of structured cabling, fiber, ISP/OSP, and data center installation methods
Experience working with high‑volume or repeat‑deployment programs
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam (AutoCAD experience is a plus)
Familiarity with BICSI design principles (RCDD preferred)
The ability to communicate clearly with internal teams and external partners
