
Account Director, Biologics Analytical Services

Position Summary
The Account Director, Biologics Analytical Services will drive revenue growth for our division with a particular focus on identifying and closing analytical opportunities in all phases of drug development from late discovery/pre‑clinical through to commercial. Other responsibilities include market intelligence and market research analysis gained through client interactions, trade show attendance, and other related activities. This is a field‑based, remote role that will require travel as needed in support of business development activities.
Role
Strong capability in developing and maintaining a network in the given territory with a propensity to hunt for new business.
Proven track‑record of developing strong relationships, establishing new clients and closing business in the biotech service‑based market segment.
Demonstrated success in consultative selling in a regulated environment.
Demonstrated understanding of drug development requirements including preclinical, clinical and commercial stages.
Exceptional selling, organization, negotiation and communication skills.
Experience in developing and negotiating complex contracts.
Strong computer, scientific and organizational skills.
Other duties as assigned.
Candidate
Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in the bio, pharma, medical device industries, or other related industries.
Strong network of Analytical Scientists within the given territory a must.
Bachelor’s degree in a scientific area required; Science‑related MS, Ph.D. or MBA (with a science BS) preferred.
Pay The annual pay range for this position in Massachusetts is $121,900 - $176,000. The final salary offered to a successful candidate may vary and will be dependent on several factors that may include, but are not limited to: the type and length of experience within the job, the type and length of experience within the industry, skillset, education, business needs, etc. Catalent is a multi‑state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
