Insurance Sales Specialist
The role requires basic technical and personal insurance product knowledge to perform inbound and outbound phone sales using multiple insurance carriers. The specialist will collaborate daily with internal segment partners to provide the right insurance solutions for our customers, with a strong focus on customer education.
Overview Key responsibilities include selling personal insurance products to individuals, making inbound and outbound calls to prospective clients, developing and maintaining relationships with referral sources, meeting company volume goals, staying current on product, service, technology, and regulatory changes, and performing additional duties as assigned.
Duties & Responsibilities
Sell personal insurance products to individuals
Inbound and outbound calling to prospective clients
Develop and maintain business relationships with internal and external referral sources
Meet goals for volume of quality new business quoted and written within company guidelines
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, services, technology, and regulations
Perform other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
One year of work experience focused on sales and/or customer service
A valid Property and Casualty Insurance license, or the ability to obtain the license within 45 days of hire
Preferred Qualifications
Sales experience with proven ability to achieve sales expectations in a call‑center environment
A high‑energy, personable "over the phone" communication style
Ability to manage a high volume of customers in various sales and service stages
Experience working with complex products/processes
Computer experience and familiarity with Microsoft Office, comparative raters, and carrier sites
Workplace Type Available for both office and remote work arrangements. Certain positions outside the branch network may be eligible for a flexible work arrangement, including occasional office visits.
