Midwest Startups is hiring: Multimedia & Web Designer in Omaha

Midwest Startups, Omaha, NE, United States

Workshop is an internal email platform that helps companies create more happy Mondays. We make it simple to create, send, manage, and measure internal communications that employees actually enjoy. We’re a fast, friendly, and focused team that cares a lot about great work and even greater people.

We are growing, and we’re looking for a Multimedia & Web Designer who can bring our brand to life visually — across the web, in marketing campaigns, and through the occasional video or audio asset that makes our content a little more human. The right person in this role has strong graphic and web design chops, a sharp eye for detail, and a genuine curiosity about how AI and smart systems can make great design go further and faster.

This role is ideal for someone who thinks about scale from the start — building templates, systems, and workflows that don’t just produce great work today but make the whole team more capable over time. You’ll work closely with marketing, content, and product, and your work will show up everywhere our brand does.

As our Multimedia & Web Designer, you will:

Design and produce visual assets for marketing campaigns, social media, events, product launches, and internal communications — from one-pagers to full campaign creative suites

Help with the design and maintenance of our web presence, including landing pages, product pages, and campaign microsites that look great and convert

Are comfortable building within and maintaining a scalable design system — templates, component libraries, and reusable assets that give the team speed without sacrificing consistency

Have tinkered with AI tools thoughtfully and proactively to accelerate production, explore creative directions, and find leverage across your workflow

Collaborate with the marketing, content, and product teams to translate ideas and briefs into polished, on‑brand design work

Optimize visual content for web, social, and mobile so everything not only looks great but actually performs

Identify opportunities to systematize repeatable work so the team can move faster without creating more chaos

To be successful in this position, you’ll need to:

Have strong, proven experience in graphic and web design — a portfolio that demonstrates range, taste, and attention to detail

Know your way around the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Figma; bonus for Premiere, After Effects

Have a solid understanding of design for digital channels — web, email, social, and everything in between

Be actively using AI tools in your design process — not just aware of them, but genuinely incorporating them into how you work

Understand brand systems and know how to work within them without losing creativity

Be comfortable translating loose briefs into finished work without needing every decision made for you

Balance quality with speed — knowing when something needs another pass and when it’s ready to ship

Be a natural collaborator who makes the creative process easier and more enjoyable for everyone around you

Bonus points if you:

Create motion graphics and simple animations

Edit and produce video content for social media, product demos, customer stories, and marketing campaigns (often alongside video contractors/agencies)

Can handle light audio editing for podcasts, webinars, and video voiceovers

Have experience designing for B2B SaaS or tech companies

Are comfortable with basic web development (HTML/CSS) or have worked inside a CMS

Have built out a design system or brand toolkit from scratch

Have a point of view on where AI is taking design — and you’re excited about it, not nervous

Bring a little delight into the work

Compensation and benefits:

$60,000 – $80,000 base salary, depending on experience
