Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Communications Manager to lead the planning and execution of internal communications initiatives that inform, engage, and inspire Lakeside Park Club’s membership. This role is responsible for building a strong internal brand voice and ensuring consistent, timely, and transparent communication consistent across all departments.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and Execute Strategy : Create and implement a communications strategy aligned with the club’s mission, vision, and culture.
Content Creation : Draft, edit, and distribute engaging membership communications such as newsletters, memos, updates, employee spotlights, and intranet content.
Leadership Communication Support : Assist leadership in preparing internal messaging, presentations, and town halls to ensure clarity and alignment.
Channel Management : Manage internal communication platforms and tools (email, website, social media, etc.) to ensure accessibility and effectiveness.
Feedback Loop : Establish and maintain open channels for feedback and measure communication effectiveness through surveys and analytics.
Cross-Department Collaboration : Work closely with department heads and the General Manager to support organizational priorities, support Board Communications and internal initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
1-2 years of experience in internal communications, employee engagement, or a similar role preferred.
Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
Proficiency with communication tools such as Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Mailchimp, or similar platforms.
Experience in hospitality, member clubs, or service industries is a plus.
