Origination Manager

is responsible for identifying, initiating, and securing new project opportunities within a portfolio of Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) projects. This role is integral to expanding the project pipeline by forging partnerships with public and private landfill operators and industrial digester owners. The Origination Manager oversees the full lifecycle of project origination, from site identification and early-stage engagement to commercial structuring, proposal development, and initial due diligence. This position requires close collaboration with development, engineering, finance, and legal teams to ensure project feasibility and success. Success in this role requires strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills to effectively manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously. Key Responsibilities

Origination & Business Development Identify and evaluate new RNG feedstock opportunities. Build and maintain a pipeline of potential projects and partners. Lead initial outreach and engagement with counterparties, including landfill owners and facility operators. Develop and present proposals, term sheets, and definitive agreements. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities. Cross-Functional Coordination Work closely with internal teams (engineering, operations, finance, and legal) to assess project feasibility. Engage with third-party consultants, vendors, and contractors to conduct early-stage due diligence. Assist the finance team in preparing project finance documents for lenders, investors, and other financial stakeholders. Qualifications & Skills

Experience & Education Minimum of 3 years of origination experience in renewable energy, with RNG experience preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Environmental Science, or a related field. Technical Skills Strong understanding of project economics, commercial structuring, and contract negotiations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with CRM systems and deal tracking tools (e.g., Airtable, ProCore, Salesforce). Soft Skills Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills. Excellent critical thinking and communication abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Other Requirements Ability to travel as needed for project site visits and stakeholder meetings. This role is primarily based in an office setting with standard office equipment usage. Frequent travel to project sites is required. Seniority level
