Building Automation Sales Engineer
– Dallas-Fort Worth, TX
We are a well-established HVAC manufacturer’s representative delivering custom-engineered commercial HVAC and plumbing solutions across Texas. As our automation division continues to expand, we are seeking a highly technical building automation systems leader to drive design excellence, system innovation, and project execution across complex commercial and industrial environments.
Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 per year

What You’ll Do
Develop and maintain relationships with consulting engineers, mechanical contractors, and end users
Identify project opportunities and provide technical sales support for building automation and controls systems
Assist with system design, product selection, and control strategies for HVAC and energy management applications
Prepare proposals, estimates, and submittals aligned with project specifications and customer needs
Collaborate with internal engineering, programming, and service teams to ensure successful project execution
Support project turnover, including coordination with field teams and customer expectations
Stay engaged throughout the project lifecycle to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business
What You Bring
3+ years of experience in BAS, HVAC controls, or technical sales within the commercial building space
Strong understanding of HVAC systems, DDC controls, and building automation applications
Ability to read and interpret mechanical plans, specifications, and sequences of operation
Experience working with engineers, contractors, or facility teams in a consultative sales environment
Strong communication skills and ability to build long‑term relationships
Self‑motivated with the ability to manage a territory and prioritize opportunities
Nice to Have
Experience with BAS platforms such as Niagara, Distech, Siemens, Johnson Controls, or similar
Background in controls design, programming, or commissioning
Familiarity with energy efficiency solutions or high-performance building systems
