Role Description: FilmNation Entertainment is looking for a dedicated and entrepreneurial Sales Coordinator and Assistant to the CEO in our New York office to join the International Sales department. This person will report jointly to the CEO and VP of International Sales.
Responsibilities include organizing and managing the day‑to‑day operational functions of the CEO and the sales department. This includes helping with daily tasks, managing calendars and meeting schedules, heavy phone work, keeping abreast of industry news, and communicating with internal stakeholders. Sales responsibilities include keeping the sales administrative system up to date, reading and analyzing scripts for international sales consideration, coordinating communication with international distributors, watermarking scripts, updating sales sheets and inputting offers. Previous professional experience is required.
The anticipated start date for this role is June 15th 2026.
Responsibilities Include:
Scheduling, completing expense reports, managing calendar, coordinating travel, and heavy phone work for the office of the CEO
Managing systems at use and administrative tasks within the sales department - overseeing their accuracy and proficiency as well as developing new processes and systems
Creating and distributing pitch materials for sales titles ahead of markets
Attending film markets (EFM, Cannes, Toronto, AFM) to support the sales team on the ground
Analyzing projects for sales consideration, completing research on comparative titles to do so
Quantitative research on the status of the international marketplace
Manage sales in certain international territories as well as oversee contracts and collections in their deals once trained and as needed
Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
From 2-4 years of relevant professional industry experience in addition to internships
Must be highly detail‑oriented, analytical, and results‑driven
A motivated self‑starter with the ability to multi‑task in a busy work environment, with great work ethic
Must be curious and eager to learn about film finance and international film sales
A passion for film & all things FilmNation
A general knowledge of the players within the industry is a plus
This is a great opportunity for anyone with experience in both the business and creative aspects of independent film, television and podcasting, and international sales/distribution.
This is an in‑office position Monday‑Friday at our offices in Chelsea. This position's anticipated annual base salary is $68,885. This does not include any other compensation components or benefits for which an individual may be eligible. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and from which they will be performing the job.
