Overview
The SBA BDO Specialist is responsible for originating and managing SBA and USDA loan products within assigned regions. This role involves working closely with customers to identify loan opportunities, preparing loan documentation, prescreening applications, ensuring eligibility per SBA/USDA guidelines, and collaborating with internal teams throughout the loan process. Responsibilities
Originate SBA 7a, SBA Express, SBA 504, and USDA loans. Conduct interviews, site visits, and gather necessary documentation for loan processing. Prepare write-ups and memos for loan submissions. Maintain ongoing communication with clients and internal stakeholders. Support training and assist conventional loan officers with SBA loan structuring. Attend networking events and identify referral sources to grow the loan portfolio. Comply with all regulatory and bank policies. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 2+ years in SBA lending. Strong knowledge of SBA 7a loan programs and regulatory requirements. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to analyze financial documents and perform loan prescreens. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with nCino preferred. Willingness to travel and attend events outside regular hours. Additional
Supervisory responsibilities for a moderate-sized team. Position requires vehicle use during and after business hours. Safety-sensitive role requiring compliance with all policies and training. Employment type
