Senior Superintendent | Commercial Construction
Location: Worcester, MA
We are partnered with a highly respected, New England-based General Contractor known for delivering complex, high-quality projects across healthcare, life sciences, higher education, and commercial sectors. This firm has built a strong reputation for tackling technically demanding projects in occupied and highly regulated environments. Their success is driven by a collaborative, hands‑on approach, strong field leadership, and a commitment to safety, quality, and long‑term client relationships. With a growing pipeline of work, they are looking to bring on a Senior Superintendent to play a key leadership role across multiple projects.
What You’ll Do Leadership & Oversight
Supervise and mentor Superintendents and Assistant Superintendents across multiple projects
Help shape field operations standards, training programs, and best practices
Serve as the escalation point for field challenges and conflict resolution
Project Planning & Scheduling
Lead development and accuracy of 3‑week lookahead schedules
Align manpower, sequencing, and logistics with overall project milestones
Partner closely with Project Managers and Preconstruction teams during planning and execution
Safety Leadership
Champion a zero‑incident jobsite culture across all projects
Enforce safety standards and OSHA compliance
Conduct regular safety audits and hold teams accountable
Quality & Execution
Ensure all work meets drawings, specifications, and quality expectations
Oversee inspections, testing, and project closeout
Lead resolution of quality issues with clients and trade partners
Client & Stakeholder Management
Act as the senior field representative with clients, architects, engineers, and owner reps
Lead OAC meetings, site walks, and executive‑level updates
Build strong relationships that support repeat business
Field Coordination & Reporting
Oversee coordination between field teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders
Review RFIs, submittals, and procurement schedules to maintain progress
Provide consistent reporting and updates to leadership
What You Bring
10+ years of progressive construction experience
5+ years in a Superintendent role with leadership responsibilities
Proven experience managing multiple complex commercial projects (healthcare, higher‑ed, life sciences preferred)
Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
Proficiency in Procore, MS Project, Smartsheet, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
OSHA 30 Certification (required)
MA Construction Supervisor License (required)
Compensation & Benefits
$150,000+ base salary (depending on experience)

Work Environment Field‑based role with projects primarily in and around Worcester, MA, with travel as needed.
