Licensed Funeral Director responsible for overseeing funeral arrangements, conducting ceremonies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing compassionate support to families. Arrangement Conference

Receives or initiates call to deceased next of kin, obtaining or confirming deceased and family contact information, discussing needs, scheduling Appointment, and confirming via email. May perform removals or transfers adhering to company standards, caring for deceased respectfully and updating removal status in proprietary software. Greets next of kin, escorts to meeting space, initiates and facilitates the Arrangements Conference, assessing needs, summarizing outcomes, discussing benefits, and promoting funeral, cemetery, and crematory services and merchandise. Transitions the Conference to the Funeral Services Counselor/Advisor to present cemetery property and merchandise options, pricing, and complete contract. In absence of an FSA/FSC may perform those responsibilities. Responsible for reviewing and authorizing merchandise and service contract revisions. Directing Services

Confirms authorization to proceed with service Arrangements and presides as Master of Ceremonies for visitation, funeral, or graveside services in a professional, organized manner consistent with Company standards. Visually inspects deceased, adjusts casket dressing, deceased attire or makeup, and communicates concerns to preparation staff; inspects services arrangements against contractual arrangements and next of kin expectations; initiates corrective action when appropriate. Interacts with family to fulfill death‑care requests and obtains leads for pre‑need services. Event Planning

Performs event planning responsibilities such as resource planning and ordering of music, flowers, catering, producing memorial products, ordering stationery, creating electronic presentations, writing obituaries, and creating online memorials. Pre‑event: prepares event room including chairs, tables, flowers, guest books, and décor. Post‑event: cleans chairs, tables, floors, stores items, identifies repairs, and delivers memorabilia to family. Performs attendant duties such as parking lot attendant, driver, usher, pallbearer, or courier. Attends community or charity events to represent and promote the location. General

Works under general guidance, learning to apply licensure to the business environment while complying with regulations, policies, and procedures; may have peer reviews. Communicates assignments, expectations, priorities, and deadlines; seeks guidance from manager; informs manager of light workload and volunteers for additional work; adapts to new structures, processes, and cultures; accepts additional responsibilities as requested. Minimum Requirements

Education & Licenses

Graduated from an accredited school or college of mortuary science. Current Funeral Director license within the practicing state. Valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required to operate company owned vehicles. Experience

Industry experience is preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Proficient MS Office skills. Work Conditions

Environment: work is both indoors and outdoors during all seasons and weather. Attire: professional business attire required when in contact with families. Postures: frequent sitting or standing up to 6 hours per day; climbing stairs. Physical Demands: requires manual dexterity, paperwork, calculators, computers, phone use; ability to push and pull up to 150 pounds on flat and inclined flooring or ramps. Hours: flexibility may be necessary; services may occur outside normal business hours; working nights and weekends frequently necessary. Location: US‑TX – Katy.
