Construction Estimator (Ground Improvement / Civil Focus)
We are conducting a confidential search for an experienced Construction Estimator with strong exposure to civil work and ground improvement.
This opportunity is with a respected, growth-oriented contractor seeking someone who can bring clarity, discipline, and technical confidence to complex bid environments.
This role is ideal for an estimator who:
Understands how soils reports impact pricing
Balances competitiveness with risk control
Thinks beyond plug numbers
Can confidently defend assumptions internally
Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil and foundation-related scopes
Evaluate soils reports and assess potential ground improvement implications
Develop quantity takeoffs and pricing strategies under tight timelines
Collaborate with project managers, executives, and external engineering partners
Support post-award transition into operations
Ideal Background
5+ years in construction estimating (civil, foundations, or heavy commercial preferred)
Experience reviewing geotechnical reports
Strong analytical and risk evaluation skills
Ability to work under compressed bid schedules
High attention to detail with practical field awareness
