Manager, Community Outreach & Engagement (Baltimore)

will serve as a frontline ambassador for ZERO’s health equity mission, working directly with communities to deliver lifesaving prostate cancer education, screening opportunities, and support services. Key Duties & Responsibilities: Implement grassroots outreach strategies to engage target populations in prostate cancer education, awareness, and screening Represent ZERO at community health fairs, educational forums, and local events Coordinate with local Community Engagement Committees (CECs) to support outreach initiatives and amplify community voices. Facilitate the delivery of community-based programs and services aligned with the goals of Blitz the Barriers Work closely with internal teams to ensure successful implementation and impact tracking of local programs Maintain records and assist with data collection related to outreach activities and participant engagement. Cultivate and maintain relationships with regional healthcare providers, community-based organizations (CBOs), and non-traditional partners Identify opportunities to collaborate with Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), clinics, and local support organizations to expand prostate cancer education and resources. Plan and coordinate roundtables, health screenings, and educational events in collaboration with local partners Serve as the point of contact for regional outreach events and activations, ensuring a culturally competent and community-centered approach. Provide regular updates and reports to the Director of Community Outreach and Engagement Participate in team meetings and trainings to share best practices and align on ZERO’s national strategies Assist in the development of reports, presentations, and communication materials to highlight outreach outcomes Other duties as assigned Core Competencies for Success: Cultural Humility & Competence:

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Communications, or a related field 3–5 years of experience in community engagement, grassroots outreach, or health education Demonstrated success building relationships with diverse populations and community organizations Experience coordinating and leading community events, workshops, or outreach campaigns Strong verbal communication and public speaking skills; comfortable representing the organization in public settings Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders, partners, and local leaders to strengthen community presence Knowledge of health equity, cultural humility, and best practices in community outreach Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in fast-moving environments Preferred Qualifications: Experience in health education or cancer prevention outreach Bilingual or multilingual communication skills are a plus Experience working in Baltimore or with similar regional populations Ability to adapt to changing situations Excellent communication skills and ability to work across teams/departments ZERO Prostate Cancer is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to creating an inclusive work environment for all employees.
