Boise, Idaho metro area
in their search for a
Director or Senior Director of Aircraft Services . This is a
high-visibility leadership opportunity
with a clear growth path toward a
Vice President
role. About the Role: This individual will lead a team of approximately
15
professionals, including
three direct reports
who oversee their own teams. You’ll be responsible for
aircraft maintenance, service operations, modifications , and
project execution —balancing hands-on engagement with high-level strategic leadership. This is
not
a "delegate-only" position. The ideal candidate is a
roll-up-your-sleeves leader
who thrives in the trenches, drives process improvement, and builds scalable systems in a fast-paced aviation services environment. Lead daily operations and oversee project execution across aircraft maintenance and modifications. Manage and mentor a team of 15+, fostering growth, accountability, and collaboration. Identify inefficiencies and implement automation, procedural documentation, and standard operating procedures. Challenge outdated processes and encourage innovation and operational excellence. Serve as a key liaison for
client visits, test flights, and industry trade shows
(up to
30% travel , domestic and international). Work cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement and meet project deadlines and quality standards. Become certified as a
Designated Engineering Representative (DER)
if not already. What We're Looking For: 5+ years
of relevant experience in
aviation, aircraft maintenance, or modification environments . Proven
leadership experience
in a technical or operational capacity. Project management expertise with a
strong process documentation mindset . A collaborative yet firm leadership style— coaching, mentoring , and holding teams accountable. Ability to push back and
challenge the status quo
to foster growth. Bachelor's degree preferred, but candidates without a degree will be considered with
8+ years
of relevant experience (required for DER eligibility). Willingness to work
100% onsite , with the option to
work from home 1 day per week
if a home office is established. Tight-knit, family-oriented team
