Bridge &Marine Superintendent
to join their team on a high-profile infrastructure project based in the Old Lyme / Old Saybrook, CT area. This project-based leadership role will focus on the field execution of drilled shafts and marine construction at the Connecticut River Bridge—part of a major rail and bridge infrastructure initiative.
This is an opportunity to step into a pivotal role on a technically complex, billion-dollar project. The right candidate brings deep expertise in over-water drilled shaft operations and thrives in dynamic, safety-critical environments.
What You’ll Do as the Marine Superintendent:
Direct daily marine operations including barge-mounted drilling, temporary works, and over-water logistics
Supervise deep foundation activities including large-diameter drilled shafts and CIDH piles
Lead marine crews and coordinate subcontractors and vendors to meet production goals
Maintain full compliance with project specs, safety requirements, and environmental regulations
Interface with project management, engineering, and estimating teams on sequencing and constructability
Manage marine access planning, equipment mobilization, and temporary marine structures
Track field performance and contribute to post-project evaluations and lessons learned
Must-Haves as the Marine Superintendent:
10+ years of experience in deep foundation and drilled shaft construction
5+ years of leadership experience on marine or over-water construction sites
Proven expertise supervising barge- or trestle-based operations
Strong understanding of marine construction equipment, logistics, and safety
Experience working on heavy civil infrastructure such as bridges, rail, or transit systems
Demonstrated ability to lead crews, coordinate complex field operations, and deliver results under pressure
Nice-to-Haves as the Marine Superintendent:
Hands‑on experience with shafts up to 10 feet in diameter
Previous work on major marine or rail bridge projects
Background with top‑tier specialty foundation contractors
