Tax & Treasury Accountant role focusing on Sales/Use and property tax compliance, planning, accounting, and audit support. Responsibilities
Primary Job Responsibilities: Tax Compliance
Prepare all required Sales/Use and property tax returns Monthly, Quarterly, Annually as necessary Responsible for ensuring all payments are made accurately and timely
Other Job Responsibilities: Tax Planning
Research potential sale/use tax issues as required (e.g., taxability of purchases in various states) Work with consultants to explore appeals related to property and real estate taxes Monitor changes in state tax law
Accounting
Responsible for budgeting the sales/use and property tax accruals and reconciling the various accounts on a monthly basis
Audit support
Responsible for handling all state and local tax examinations
Qualifications
Experience with AS400 preferred Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Bachelor’s degree in accounting required 2 or more years of public accounting and/or relevant industry experience Seniority level
