Organization Overview
Congregations Organized for Prophetic Engagement (COPE) is a 501(c)3 grassroots,
Faith-Based organization established in 2000 by a core group of Pastors. Based in the
Inland Empire, C.O.P.E is a Black led and faith rooted organization that builds the capacity of
clergy and community leaders to protect and revitalize the neighborhoods in which they
live, work and worship. C.O.P.E. accomplishes this mission through leadership development,
proactive grassroots community organizing and civic engagement.

Job Summary
Team Members will engage Inland Region residents via phone banking (in-person) and
door-to-door canvassing for the June 02, 2026, statewide special election.
This is a nonpartisan effort.
Daily Activities
Contact Inland Region residents by going door-to-door and/or phone banking
Work towards daily and weekly goals for the number of voters contacted and
supporters identified

Essential Responsibilities
Ability to work the entire schedule which will include weekdays approximately
Tuesdays and Wednesdays 2:30pm - 7:00pm and Saturdays 10am - 3:00pm until
June 2nd, 2026
Must attend mandatory orientation and training
Alignment to social justice, racial justice, and COPE’s mission
Must be able to utilize a cellphone, laptop, zoom, web browser and canvassing
application
Willingness to learn new technological tools and troubleshoot technical issues

Must arrive on the correct date, time, and location during designated schedule
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to
connect with diverse people, always maintaining a positive and enthusiastic attitude
Follow Civic Engagement Program Script to engage residents
Must be professional and able to work well in a team
Ensure accurate and complete data is submitted
Preferred Qualifications
At least a high school diploma or GED.
Prior canvassing or phone-banking experience a plus
Must possess a Valid Government issued form of Identification and a Social Security
Card

Please Note: Due to the high volume of applicants, we will only be able to follow up
