
Apartment Leasing Agent

Position Summary
The Apartment Leasing Agent reports to the General Manager and is responsible for assisting with day‑to‑day operations of the property to ensure customer satisfaction, fiscal stability, and good physical condition.
Responsibilities
Assist with leasing to ensure full lease‑up and maintain high occupancy levels, including mailing renewal offers, logging responses, and managing property availability.
Maintain an accurate record of availability compatible with the lease renewal report.
Approve, enter, and present all rental applications to the General Manager for execution.
Manage property licenses and renewal process by liaising with legal counsel and the City.
Assist with the check‑out process to ensure compliance with final account statement requirements; accept keys for departing residents and perform inspections of vacated units.
Ensure accurate and efficient leases and resident check‑ins.
Investigate and respond to residents’ concerns or complaints in a timely manner, reporting to the General Manager.
Prepare weekly reports on property performance as required.
Help develop and implement advertising/marketing programs to position the property in the marketplace.
Help develop and implement resident retention programs.
Maintain courteous communication with residents, applicants, employees, and vendors.
Answer telephones as needed.
Perform general administrative duties such as filing and typing.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
Valid driver’s license; current automobile insurance preferred.
Proficient with fax machine, copier, telephone, personal computer, typewriter, calculator, adding machine, key machine, key‑card system, and vacuum.
Computer skills and math ability.
Accurate typing and record‑keeping.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Knowledge of Entrata preferred.
Accurate in numerical analysis and data transfer.
Accurate in preparing documents ensuring grammatical and legal correctness.
Knowledge of and adherence to all federal, state and local laws.
Ability to complete necessary paperwork and meet deadlines.
Demonstrate a positive, professional, and enthusiastic attitude at all times.
Excellent customer service skills.
Effective and professional communication in a fast‑paced environment.
Apply principles of logical thinking to practical situations and follow standardized procedures.
Ability to think rationally beyond specific instructions.
