Job Summary As a Deli Clerk at Broulim’s, you will be the face of our deli department, delivering top‑notch service and providing customers with a diverse selection of high‑quality deli products. From slicing meats and cheeses to creating appetizing deli trays, your role is essential in creating a positive and delicious shopping experience.

Duties

Assist customers in the deli department, offering product information and recommendations.

Slice, weigh, and package deli meats and cheeses to customer specifications.

Create and assemble deli trays and platters for special orders, events, and catering orders.

Maintain cleanliness and organization in the deli counter area, including regular sanitization of equipment.

Receive, inspect, and stock deli products, rotating inventory to ensure freshness.

Operate deli department equipment, such as slicers and scales, following safety guidelines.

Collaborate with team members to achieve department goals and contribute to a positive working environment.

Knowledge

Familiarity with deli products, including meats, cheeses, and prepared foods.

Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices.

Basic understanding of deli department equipment and tools.

Skills

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Precision in slicing and weighing deli products.

Ability to operate deli department equipment safely.

Basic organizational skills for stocking and arranging products.

Attention to detail in maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Minimum Qualifications

Previous experience in a deli or customer service role is a plus.

Knowledge of basic deli products and preparation techniques.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Customer‑focused with a positive and friendly attitude.

16 years or older to operate fryers and oven, and 18 years or older to operate the slicer.
