Carpenter I / Apprentice - Custom Homes TAB Construction

Must Be Open to Relocate to Andes, NY (Required) | Full-Time | Onsite

Compensation: $25-$30/hour + Training & Growth Path

The Opportunity TAB Construction is a growing residential builder focused on

custom homes and high-quality renovations

across Delaware County.

We're looking for a

Carpenter I / Apprentice

who is early in their construction career and eager to learn the trade the right way. This role is designed for someone who brings

strong work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to grow

– we’ll provide the hands‑on experience and mentorship.

You’ll work directly with experienced carpenters and leads, gaining exposure to

all phases of residential construction

while building a long‑term career path.

Key Responsibilities Field Support & Execution

Assist with framing, demolition, and general carpentry tasks

Support installation work under the direction of Lead and Experienced Carpenters

Handle basic tool use, material prep, and site tasks

Job Site Operations

Assist with job site setup, organization, and daily cleanup

Help with material handling, staging, and deliveries

Maintain a safe working environment at all times

Learning & Development

Learn construction sequencing from foundation through finish

Develop skills in carpentry techniques, tools, and job site best practices

Take direction, apply feedback, and continuously improve

Qualifications Experience & Skills

1-3 years of construction or carpentry experience preferred (or strong interest in the trade)

Basic familiarity with tools and job site environments

Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately

Professional Traits

Reliable and consistent with attendance and performance

Positive attitude and team-first mindset

Requirements

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Physically able to perform manual labor (lifting, standing, climbing, etc.)

Willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions

Compensation & Growth

$25-$30/hour , based on experience and capability

Steady, year‑round work

Hands‑on training with experienced builders

Clear progression path:

Carpenter I → Carpenter II → Lead Carpenter
