We're looking for a Lead Carpenter who can take true ownership of projects in the field—someone who leads by example, maintains high standards, and ensures projects run smoothly from start to finish.

What Success Looks Like (Key Outcomes) Within this role, you will:
Deliver projects that meet TAB's quality standards from framing through finish
Maintain job site organization, cleanliness, and safety at all times
Keep projects moving according to schedule with minimal delays
Ensure subcontractors are aligned, accountable, and performing to standard
Represent TAB professionally in all interactions with clients and partners
Key Responsibilities
Field Leadership & Execution
Lead day‑to‑day on‑site operations across custom home and renovation projects
Perform hands‑on carpentry work (framing, siding, trim, finish, punch work)
Set the pace and standard for productivity, craftsmanship, and professionalism
Project Coordination
Coordinate subcontractors, inspections, and material deliveries
Work closely with ownership to align on schedules, priorities, and job progress
Identify and proactively solve field issues before they impact timelines or quality
Quality & Standards
Ensure all work meets TAB Construction's quality expectations and specifications
Conduct ongoing quality checks throughout each phase of construction
Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
Client & Team Communication
Serve as a point of contact on‑site for clients when needed
Communicate clearly with team members, subcontractors, and ownership
Foster a positive, accountable, and solution‑oriented job site culture
Qualifications Experience & Skillset
5+ years of hands‑on residential carpentry experience
Proven ability to lead a job or manage a small crew independently
Strong understanding of residential construction sequencing (foundation → finish)
High‑level finish carpentry skills preferred
Professional Traits
Ownership mindset—you take responsibility for outcomes, not just tasks
Highly reliable, organized, and detail‑oriented
Strong problem‑solving ability in the field
Clear communicator with both clients and team members
Requirements
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Ability to read plans and execute accordingly
Physically able to perform all aspects of carpentry work
Compensation & Growth
$36-$40/hour, based on experience and capability
