The Retail Keyholder assists the store management team in executing and supervising all store activities, providing outstanding guest service within a sales culture that follows GameStop's Circle of Life model. The position ensures products are accessible, boosts sales, maintains a clean environment, and fosters guest loyalty.
Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities
Provide best-in-class guest service by greeting guests, addressing their questions, informing them about promotions, recommending items, and expressing gratitude.
Support the overall shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, and nurture guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business.
Process guest purchases and returns accurately via the Point-of-Sale (POS) computer system.
Answer phone calls promptly and professionally.
Promote GameStop’s guest benefits such as reservation programs and the Pro Rewards loyalty program.
Maintain clean, organized, and merchandised store areas, ensuring fixtures and equipment are in working order.
Complete Omni‑Channel orders daily and safeguard company assets through inventory control and loss prevention practices.
Conduct store inventory counts, restock merchandise, and move products from stockroom to front of store.
Assist in achieving sales, profit, and shrink goals while completing required administrative duties.
Reconcile daily business transaction totals accurately in the POS system and complete bank deposit paperwork.
Check shipments for discrepancies, process defectives/recalls, and manage stock pulls.
Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates when management is absent.
Adhere to GameStop policies, procedures, opening and closing procedures, and provide feedback to store management.
Qualifications
Proof of identity and legal eligibility to work in the United States.
Minimum age 18 and a high school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of retail sales, guest service, or management experience preferred.
Video game knowledge preferred.
Ability to work alone, stand, and move throughout the store unassisted for up to 10 hours per day.
Required Job Skills And Abilities
Exceptional guest service skills.
Clear verbal and written communication; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and meet performance expectations.
Operating POS computer system and completing required paperwork.
Basic math and alphabetizing skills.
Self‑motivation and teamwork to complete tasks timely.
Problem‑solving and sound judgment.
Follow written, oral, or diagram instructions.
Bank deposit delivery following loss‑prevention guidelines.
Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical ability to bend, stoop, reach, climb ladders, and lift up to 30 lbs to a minimum height of 4 ft.
Stand and move throughout store unassisted for up to 10 hours per day.
Benefits Full‑time store positions at GameStop are eligible to participate in incentive programs, 401(k), paid time off, dental, vision, and health insurance. Positions may also be eligible for a bonus and/or other incentives.
Compensation $8.50 - $11.25
