Responsibilities
Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests promptly, respond to questions effectively and courteously, assist with gaming needs, promote promotions and trade‑in program, recommend items, apply selling behaviors, and express gratitude to guests.
Support overall shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, and nurture relationships that lead to sales.
Process guest purchases and returns accurately via the POS computer system.
Handle phone calls promptly and professionally.
Promote GameStop’s guest benefits such as the title reservation program and the Pro Rewards loyalty program.
Maintain store cleanliness and organization, including restrooms, fixtures, and equipment.
Complete omni‑channel orders daily.
Safeguard company assets through inventory control, loss prevention, and bank deposits.
Conduct store inventory counts, restock merchandise, and ensure proper merchandise placement.
Assist store management in exceeding sales, profit, and shrink goals.
Reconcile daily transaction totals and ensure accurate closeout paperwork and bank deposits.
Inspect shipments for discrepancies, record and report them.
Process defectives/recalls and stock pulls accurately.
Inspect associates’ packages at closing or shift end.
Supervise and delegate tasks to sales associates in absence of management.
Follow all GameStop policies and procedures.
Follow opening and closing procedures.
Provide timely feedback on associate performance.
Qualifications
Proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States.
Minimum age of 18.
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of retail sales, guest service, or management experience preferred.
Video‑game knowledge preferred.
Ability to work alone, stand, and move throughout the store unassisted for up to 10 hours per day.
