PORTER
Porters ensure Levain Bakeries are clean and food preparation areas are sanitized and up to the highest health code standards. Porters support the overall operations by maintaining a clean and safe environment for both customers and staff, and take pride in behind‑the‑scenes work to support team success.

Facilitate open, clear, and timely communication with team members and management
Store Maintenance
Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the store, including customer areas, restrooms, and workspaces, throughout the shift
Sweep floors and sidewalks, mop, and dust areas where needed
Communicate any maintenance issues to leaders and management
Wash, sanitize, restock dishes, trays, baking tools, and other supplies
Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for customers and staff
Assist with the setup and breakdown of bakery displays and equipment
Clean, sanitize, and maintain anti‑fatigue floor mats
Empty trash in bathrooms, workstations, and customer‑facing areas throughout the day
Inventory Management
Assist in restocking and organizing inventory and adhere to guidelines given by Shift Leader or management
Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries, ensuring proper storage of dry and refrigerated goods
Support the team in daily operations, including light food preparation and packaging as needed
Requirements
Previous custodian or porter experience in F&B or retail is preferred
Open availability: ability to work mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays
Ability to lift/push up to 50 pounds, including overhead
Stand/walk for an 8‑hour shift (excluding a ½ hour break); some locations require walking up and down stairs
Compensation & Benefits
$18-20.25/hour
