Route and Chemical Salesperson

Overview
This position is eligible for commission in addition to the posted base salary. Position Summary
Work to establish and grow a street presence in the Phoenix area, focusing on chemical sales, disposable sales, small wares sales, replacement equipment sales, dish machine leases, and ice machine leases. Essential Functions
Establish a territory using direct customer interactions, cold-calling, and site visits to build relationships. Manage vehicle inventory and chemical / disposable deliveries. Work cross-functionally within Sales to offer full packages to customers, including chemicals, disposables, small wares, and equipment. Source new sales opportunities by thinking creatively and trying new strategies. Evaluate customer needs and build productive, long-lasting relationships. Maintain and expand your customer base within your territory while assisting the team in developing strategies for new territories. Attend meetings, sales events, and training to grow sales skills and product knowledge. Meet personal and team sales targets and goals. Quotas will be developed and published. Provide backup support to the Showroom as a front desk associate during downtime and potential rotation schedule. Competencies
Excellent customer service track record. Positive attitude and willingness to help others. Effective communication – via phone, email, and in person. Ability to learn new programs and work cross-functionally to improve web-based platforms. Minimum Job Requirements
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Well organized, accurate, and attentive to detail. A valid driver’s license and the ability to be covered by company insurance is required. Ability to lift up to 50lbs into and out of a utility van. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with commercial kitchen equipment and/or kitchen chemicals. Position type / expected work hours
This is an exempt, salaried position. Normal working hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM. This position offers eligibility for health benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, supplemental insurance, and 401(k) matching along with paid holidays, vacation, and sick time.
