Job Description Summary To learn how to perform machine and bench operations necessary to make, alter, or repair tools, jigs, fixtures, dies, molds, or gauges of specific design that enable machines to make products.
Duties and Responsibilities
Craft precision tools by studying specifications, engineering blueprints, tool orders, and shop data to make, alter, or repair tools, jigs, fixtures, dies, molds, or gauges of difficult design that are used to cut, form, and shape metal and other materials.
Craft metal forms (dies) used to shape metal in forging and stamping operations.
Repair worn or damaged tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges.
Cut, bore, or drill parts.
Maintain the department/ work area clean and organized.
Follow ISO/IATF, safety, and environmental procedures as well as department and corporate policies and procedures.

Flexibility and tolerance for constantly changing demands.
Thoroughness and detail oriented.
Ability to apply basic math skills.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Education and Training
High school or GED equivalent.
Tools and Equipment
Steel toed shoes, safety glasses and ear plugs are required at all times.
