Position Title
Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate) – nationwide pawn store locations
Overview We are seeking entry-level, part-time sales associates to join our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the store team to ensure customer service on both lending and retail sides of the business. The role involves greeting, engaging, and interacting with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions, as well as assisting with customer inquiries and problem resolution. Associates will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.
The Part-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity. Pay is influenced by location, qualifications, and experience.
Responsibilities
Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
Performs non-management open/close procedures.
Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise displays.
Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements.
Handles cash and negotiable items according to policies and procedures.
Answers incoming calls per company standards.
Effectively communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
Communicates with coworkers and managers respectfully and effectively.
Collaborates with all employees to create a positive customer experience.
Completes required training successfully.
Other related duties, as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting).
Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
May assist customers on exterior areas or retrieve products from exterior storage.
Minimum Age: 18 years old
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-oriented.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
Cash handling experience is preferred.
Ability to work at multiple locations as needed.
Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and standard office machines.
Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply.
Commission Plan & Pay The commission incentive plan is proprietary to FirstCash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on personal gross profit.
