Located in the beautiful Adirondacks, Point O’Pines Camp for Girls is looking for a Lacrosse Coach to join our team and help campers build skills, confidence, and a passion for lacrosse in a fun camp environment.
The Lacrosse Coach is a Specialty Counselor within the Team Sports program who leads fun, safe, and age-appropriate lacrosse instruction for campers of all skill levels. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic lacrosse player or coach who enjoys teaching, mentoring, and being part of a vibrant summer camp community. Lacrosse Coaches may serve as in-bunk or out-of-bunk staff depending on camp needs.
Key Responsibilities Lacrosse & Specialty Area
Plan and lead daily lacrosse activities, drills, and scrimmages.
Teach fundamental and advanced lacrosse skills while promoting teamwork and sportsmanship.
Adapt instruction for varying ages and ability levels.
Ensure camper safety and proper use of equipment.
Create a positive, inclusive, and encouraging environment.
Assist with setup, upkeep, and breakdown of the lacrosse area.
General Specialty Counselor Duties
Supervise campers and ensure active, safe participation.
Participate in camp-wide day and evening activities.
Support camp operations and special events as assigned.
Qualifications
Experience playing and/or coaching lacrosse.
Experience working with children is preferred.
Energetic, patient, and enthusiastic.
Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
