
Inside Sales & Logistics Assistant

The overall purpose of Inside Sales & Logistics Assistant position is to support Vitro’s clients and the Sales Director via customer management. The incumbent will support and learn logistics within Vitro Chemicals to support the Logistics Manager. This position is located in Houston, Texas, USA.
Responsibilities
Assist with ongoing customer support relations; respond to requests including pricing, damage investigations, and quality inquiries. Provide ongoing customer support service and active participation in customer issue resolution.
Maintain customer database in coordination with Vitro Customer Service Representatives to update shifts in costs, routes, and distribution requests.
Provide support in sales reporting and mid-and-month-end reporting.
Qualifications
BS degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics or other related; 1 year experience in similar or related position.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with client interactions.
Some knowledge of SAP helpful but not required.
Microsoft office applications such as Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, etc.
Strong analytical capabilities and critical thinking skills.
Maintain an active and robust project pipeline.
Generally, the incumbent will work in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc. If in a warehouse or plant, some of the work will require exposure to loud noises or fumes in the plant facility, all personal protective equipment provided by company. Minimal travel is required to vendors, customers, warehouses and Vitro plant locations.
